In 1946 Bruce and Paul Pellett opened the Western Iowa Gas Co. Inc office, starting a LP Gas business.  In 1950 after hearing about experiments using nitrogen to increase crop yield, Bruce and Paul began their own tests with anhydrous ammonia as a source of nitrogen.  Today, Randy Sandage manages the company.  The agronomy division called Pelgrow serves customers in 12 Southwest Iowa counties and the transportation business is known as Western Iowa Gas Transportation.  Changes and improvements are being made everyday to meet the needs of our customers.  Technology has come a long way and it is still moving at full speed.  Pelgrow now offers fertilizer, liming, chemicals, custom application, seed, soil testing, Certified Crop Advisors, variable rate application, grid sampling, GPS/GIS, precision farming, record keeping, Pelgrow Profit Plan, and the list grows daily.  Visit with us about tomorrow - today at Pelgrow.
